There are two different types of Brookeskey:
1.The time based Brookeskey - for either your term, one semester or one year (not valid on NU services)
2.The multi-trip Brookeskey - buy this for taking a trip on any Brookes Bus at any time!

You simply place your Brookeskey on the white circles on the reader - and wait for the beep.
If you have bought a Brookeskey multi-trip, topping up couldn't be easier.
You can top up on line
You can call in to our travel shop in Debenhams, Oxford, and top up in person
NOTE: ON LINE TOP UPS TAKE UP TO 48 HOURS TO GO "LIVE"
You will need the serial number printed on the front of your Brookeskey; your password; and your date of birth.
No problem. Just e-mail us at thekey@Oxfordbus.co.uk, or call us on 08456 05 50 50.
For security purposes we will ask you for your date of birth and your full card number.
No. You can top-up at any time before your Brookeskey has expired.
Tell us what's happened as soon as you can. We will "hotlist" your old card which means it will stop working. You can:

- Call us on 08456 05 50 50
- Drop in to the AV Services & Resource Office at the Gipsy Lane site of the Headington Campus
- On line top ups take 48 hours to "go live"
- Debenhams top ups take effect immediately
There are four easy ways to find out how much you have left:
- The screen on the card reader on the bus shows you, every time you use your Brookeskey
- Go online at www.brookesbus.org, go to the KEY button and go to the top-up screen. This will show you your outstanding trips. You can check without having to make a top-up. The online system is always 24 hours behind, so won't show travel credits bought that day.
- Pop in to our Travel Shop in Debenhams and we can check for you.
- Call us on 08456 05 50 50 and we can check for you.
No. This product allows special discounts for Brookes students and staff. It is a photocard and can only be used by the person shown on the card.
If you have a time based Brookeskey, then when you present your Brookeskey to the card reader on the bus, you will be given access to special discounted fares. See the Fares and Timetables button for details.
If you have a Brookes Multi-Trip, you will not be eligible for the special discounts on our local buses; however if you are a student you will be entitled to a discounted student fare on our express London service:
